Our first west coast IPA to go into 330ml cans is a little mix of old and new school. Dry, bitter, resinous and dank with touches of tropical fruit sitting in nicely. A citrus and piney foundation of Cascade and Columbus give structure to the top notes of pineapple and peach as well as a more supercharged citrus vibe from Citra and Simcoe. Keeping a similar malt base as our recent west coasters this sees a slight decrease in wheat malt to provide a slightly leaner body to enhance the perception of dryness and drinkibility. On the palate bright grapefruit and pine show up first with a hint of malt sweetness before a bitter finish that lingers just long enough until you take your next sip. This is a west coast IPA designed with drinkibility in mind.
